The Wake Yard collects only the personal data it needs to run bookings, keep riders safe and improve this website, and this policy explains what that is and what your rights are under UK data protection law. Last updated: 11 October 2026.

Who we are

The data controller is Calagua Ltd, trading as The Wake Yard, 57 North Canal Bank Street, Glasgow G4 9XP. You can contact us at hello@thewakeyard.com. Our ICO registration number is ZB941041.

What we collect

  • Booking and contact details: your name, email address, phone number, and the details you give when you book (session, date, number of riders).

  • Waiver information: your name, date of birth, emergency contact and your answers to health and medical questions. Health information is "special category" data, which we handle with extra care. A parent or guardian completes the waiver for any rider under 18.

  • Orders, gift cards and membership: if you buy from our shop, buy or redeem a gift card, or join the Fam Club, we keep your name, contact details, order history and membership status.

  • Payment details: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.

  • Messages and enquiries: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or our website forms, including group booking enquiries.

  • Website usage data: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and IP address, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

  • Photos, video and CCTV: photos and video of riders taken at the park for our advertising, and images from CCTV, which we may use to monitor and keep the site safe.
